Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s Netflix docuseries caused outrage among the royal fans. A lot of UK journalists and royal experts were not pleased with the Duke and Duchess painting themselves as a victim in Harry & Meghan. Jeremy Clarkson is also one of the many journalists who took offense to the show. However, the former Top Gear Presenter could not keep a check on his words while criticizing the former American actress.

Clarkson made hateful and vulgar comments about Meghan Markle in his column. The now-removed column drew a lot of trolling and criticism. The journalist triggered women all across the globe by wishing for a brutal public humiliation of Markle. However, this is not the first time that the English broadcaster has made headlines because of his vile comments on the Duchess. Since the infamous Megxit, he has continuously passed unacceptable remarks on the Suits alum.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle cracked the $100 million Netflix deal in September 2020. The couple promised to create projects that will not only inform but also give hope to the viewers. Jeremy Clarkson did not seem much impressed with the deal, as he called the docuseries “drivel.”

While writing for The Sun in September 2020, the Englishman added that he does not give “s**i” about the Sussexes and will do a much better job than them while making the Netflix show. 

English broadcaster’s sly dig at the Duchess for her climate change plea

Even before her marriage to Prince Harry, Meghan Markle was into environmental and charity work. The American actress has always done her bit to make people aware of how fast the climate is changing. Clarkson once could not digest Markle’s climate change plea and took a sly dig at her in his column for The Sun in October 2020.

Two years back, the journalist claimed that Britons should be concerned about climate change but Meghan Markle and Great Thunberg made matter worse by talking about it. He added, “When Meghan Markle told me to leave the car at home, I wanted to shoot a polar bear in the middle of its face.”

Meghan Markle was accused of “simpering victimhood”

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shook the royal household with their explosive Oprah Winfrey interview. In their tell-all interview, the Duke and Duchess spoke about how a royal family member expressed their concern over Archie’s skin color. The Duchess also claimed to be suicidal because of the worse treatment by the members of the royal family and the media. 

Following the interview, Jeremy Clarkson published an article in The Sun in March 2021 to question the authenticity of the claims. He mentioned how Meghan Markle was stupid to believe that she would be able to bring the monarchy down with her “simpering victimhood.” He also added how Markle’s claims were silly little musings to the royal family after the scandals they had faced in the past.

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s infamous Oprah Winfrey interview drew a lot of flak and criticism from the royal experts in the United Kingdom. When Jeremy Clarkson hosted the first episode of his ITV show, It’s Clarkson On TV, he could not help but take a jibe at the Duchess.

He played a clip from the Winfrey interview to mention that there was a moment when he felt that Markle was breaking the wind by getting interviewed by the famous media personality. However, he displayed another clip where there was a slight sound when the former actress was telling the interviewer about the time following her wedding to Prince Harry. 

Speaking about the same, the host mentioned, “Now I’ve had a note here from the legal department at ITV. They want it to be made plain that was not a fart. I have no idea how they know that.”

Clarkson denied a Happy Christmas to Meghan Markle

Despite facing so much criticism for his column in The Sun earlier this month, Jeremy Clarkson has refused to learn any lesson. He continues spewing hate on Markle through his columns. In his last article of the year for The Times, the broadcaster hoped for happy Christmas holidays for all the people across the globe except the Sussex royal.
