At the beginning of Stranger Things, the creators depicted Eleven as a girl who had no idea about the world. She could barely speak, cloth, or remember anything about herself. But Season 2 brought fans the real deal and Eleven takes her life into her hands and meets one of the telekinetic kids like her. With Kali, she takes out operations using her powers and even lifts a huge container in the air.

This was the first time fans got to know that her powers were beyond what anyone could imagine. In fact, she heads out to the lab with Hopper to close the gate guarded by Demodogs. In the final scene of the season, we see how she channels her anger into closing this gate that gave supernatural monsters access to the human world.
