A first glimpse of Cobra Kai Season 6 is out now. While kicking their way into Netflix, no one expected the Karate-based series to last as long as it did. Even show makers were unaware of how greatly the sport would be appreciated, but perhaps the magic of Karate Kid continued to flow like Miyagi’s moves. Five seasons later, public demand met the creator’s enthusiasm, and even through tough times, the team stayed motivated to shoot.

Between Covid and the writer’s strike, unforeseen circumstances have stood as a challenge. But while they can, the crew continued in their progress for season 6. In a first look, here are some glimpses from the Cobra Kai set.

Like many other Netflix toppers, Cobra Kai also has fans waiting in anticipation and the first look images are a relief for them. Photos are available via Atlanta Filming from the action-drama series’ shoot. These were clicked from one of the last moments before the shooting came to a halt. This was the final shoot, after which they brought the work to a halt due to the writer’s strike. The halt happened after the initial episode filming and no writers were present at the set either.

Of the multiple photos posted, one shows an aerial view of the location. While the exterior is shown to be at the Crossroads Shopping Center in Atlanta, the inner look is all too familiar to fans. Ralph Macchio and Vanessa Rubio can be seen sitting by the pool in one picture, with him wearing a mask. One shows them posing for the camera while another one shows Macchio getting a touch-up between scenes.

The wait for the show may be longer since there is no saying when the writer’s guild may find a solution and end the strike.

What awaits ahead for the series?

The previous season ended with Macchio defeating Terry Silver. However, another trouble challenges him as John Kreese escapes from prison. Johnny Lawrence and Macchio will probably come up with a plan to deal with him in the next season now. The initial estimated release date for Season 6 was said to be the Spring or Summer of 2024. But until Netflix finds a solution, there may be a further delay, pushing the show to a 2025 release.
