Two months back, filmmaker James Gunn was appointed as one of the CEO of the newly formed DC Studios. This announcement raised many eyebrows since there were speculations that this might lead to major changes in the DCU. Well, it turned out to be true, and the director has shaken up all the plans of Warner Bros.

According to recent reports, the future of Justice League 2 has been put to a halt as Safran and Gunn have different plans for the DCU. Meanwhile, fans are fearing what will happen to their favorite superheroes like Superman. Taking their rage on Twitter, thousands of fans come out to retaliate against the DC reboot the director is planning.

James Gunn might be scrapping the current DC Universe

According to The Hollywood Reporter, James Gunn and Peter Safran are planning a new era of DCEU. It is revealed that they might be starting things with a clean slate. Since they have canceled Wonder Woman 3, and it won’t be moving forward. So all the Gal Gadot fans will not see Princess Diana saving lives and venturing the world.

This reboot has also brought clouds of shadow on other popular characters played by beloved actors like Henry Cavill and Jason Momoa. Since the Man of Steel star has recently been seen in Dwayne Johnson’s Black Adam, fans are not ready to say goodbye to him or the antihero who left fans enamored recently.

Now fans have started a war against the Guardians of the Galaxy director on Twitter, asking for his removal. One post stated “Henry Cavill’s return as #Superman in the DCU could already be dead” as they are rebooting the universe. 

Another fan said: “James Gunn is not a Dc guy! He likes weak ass C-list damn near D-list characters that no one knows about and try to make them as big as the trinity!”
