Unfortunately, the show got delayed for several months due to the WGA strike and the SAG-AFTRA union joining them. Given that two of his blockbuster projects, Stranger Things and Deadpool 3, were held up due to the strikes, Shawn Levy was among the most affected. Therefore, it did not come as a surprise that he has taken on the mantle of responsibility to make up for the lost time following the strikes.

On Monday, Shawn Levy sat down with The Wrap to talk about his latest Netflix project, All the Light We Cannot See. During the discussion, he shed light on the workings of Stranger Things. He said the team has been working hard since the WGA strike ended. Without further delay, they will start shooting season 5 when actors get back to work. However, the producer and Duffer Brothers have been busy with a handful of things, considering the stage show is also approaching fast.

The Canadian filmmaker continued to gush over the stage play that will open in London in some time. “It’s fabulous. It’s f***ing awesome. We are raring to go–our cast, our crew,” exclaimed Levy. Then the Oscar-nominated director addressed how the strikes have affected the lives of thousands of people in the industry. According to him, people need to get back to work as soon as possible because crew members could not make a livelihood since the strike began.
