One of the most intriguing elements of You is its protagonist, who is by all means a homme fatale, leaning heavily towards fatal. Nonetheless, the character of Joe Goldberg provides enough room for numerous storylines owing to his intelligence and manipulative traits. However, while the show has to go on, it also has to come to a stop. And Netflix’s new announcement has fans confused about whether they should be weeping or celebrating.

Netflix announces You Season 5

It often happens with Netflix Originals that they fail in continuity when it comes to amassing huge viewership ratings owing to the OTT Mughal ordering them off the platform. The case seems to be contrary for You Season 4, which cracked the code to the Top 10 most-viewed English Netflix series’ and garnered 92.7 million views in a week. And before fans could wrap their heads around Joe becoming Jonathan Moore and then Joe again, Netflix has announced Season 5 of the show.

“Will Joe Goldberg finally get his judgment day,?” the OTT Mughal teased in a press release, as per People. However, to end things on a bittersweet note, Netflix said that You Season 5 will be the final season.

So far, the series has included a plethora of characters with Joe Goldberg at the center of affairs. After the brilliant reception of the series throughout its numerous seasons, fans are excited to see how Netflix is going to wrap up this extravaganza.

When will You’s finale be releasing?

The 4th season banked on the already popular genre of murders in high society and Joe Goldberg being horror personified added just the right spice. Netflix has announced the show’s renewal for a fifth and final season but has yet to put a date on it.

The announcement has garnered a split reaction from fans. Some are of the stance that too many cooks spoil the broth and that is what is happening with You, which, according to them, did not even need a 3rd or 4th season.
