FEUD: Did Taylor Swift Burn Old Rival Kanye West in Her 2017 Song, Adding Fuel to the Fire?
It will be a long time before the feud between Kanye West and Taylor Swift will be over. While Ye has made enemies out of a lot of allies due to his remarks, his rivalry with the Anti-Hero singer goes a long way. The saying ‘time heals all wounds’ clearly does not apply to these entertainers. If anything, the musicians make use of their rivalries in songs.
While it is common in the hip-hop world to make diss tracks, Taylor Swift is known for making love songs loosely based on her dating life. But fans could not help but notice a song by her that seemed to take a dig at Kanye West.

What lyrics point out that Taylor Swift took a dig at Kanye West?
When Taylor Swift releases a song, Swifties immediately jump on to begin decoding the meaning behind it. As per Mashable, the singer released a song back in 2017 called Look What You Made Me Do from her album Reputation. The less-than-subtle lyrics went, “I don’t like your little games, don’t like your tilted stage.” That seemed like a direct dig at Ye, since he made an entrance at his Saint Pablo show on a suspended platform. But that was not it. The lyrics continued to point at another possible incident.

The video shows the actress with a phone, saying, “I’m sorry, the old Taylor can’t come to the phone right now. Why? Oh ’cause she’s dead!” Ye and Swift had a call back then, which the latter denied, although Kim Kardashian then posted proof of it. The infamous phone call quickly became a hot topic then. But the rivalry between the Jump singer and the Gold Digger singer goes way back.

It all began with the 2009 VMA Awards. Swift bagged the Award for Best Video by a Female Artist, and she began giving her speech. Ye interrupted and took the mike. He then said, “I’mma let you finish, but Beyoncé had one of the best videos of all time!” It left everyone in the audience, including Beyonce shell shocked. It was later announced that Queen B had actually won The Artist of The Year Award. The feud that began then, continues to this day.
