The Witcher Season 3 for whatever it unravels to be needs to be applauded for turning the tides. Just a few days ago, the entirety of the fandom was complaining about not even having a proper trailer and now days before the premiere there is enough content to make them lose their marbles. Whether this was a pre-planned strategy or last-minute damage control is still unclear, but it has effectively managed to generate hype around the show.

Not only does the series now have a trailer for Season 3, but fans have also been blessed with clips and snippets of the characters. The third season will be divided into two parts and surprisingly, there are a few clips from The Witcher Season 3 Vol.2 as well. Nothing beats, however, the behind-the-scenes shots with insights from the main cast of the Netflix blockbuster.

Following Netflix’s TUDUM event, IGN released an exclusive behind-the-scenes clip of The Witcher. This included perhaps every scoop that fans are awaiting to watch in Season 3. From Ciri’s time in the Korath desert to a quick introduction to Christelle Elwin’s Mistle.

Not only did the clip include characters, letting fans in on what to look forward to, but it also consisted of the writers. One of the most promising takeaways from the creators was Season 3 being in close touch with the book.

If one is doubtful of how much of an impact the clip has had on the fandom, then perhaps the stark contrast from a week ago when they had no expectations from Season 3 to now calling it the “best season” can be a testament.

It is quite intriguing, however, that for a series as thrilling and high on horror as The Witcher, the fandom turns into a pile of mush with just a single clip of Jaskier and Geralt. This time around the subject of their adoration is a scene from The Witcher Season 3 Vol.2 where Jaskier helps Geralt recover.

The behind the scenes and the trailer have done a brilliant job at getting fans excited. However, not a million clips can fix what fans believe is an impending disaster as the series introduces Mistle. Furthermore, the casting choice has ruffled all the wrong feathers.

While The Witcher Season 3 has many things going for it, from Ciri, Geralt, and Yennefer becoming a family to The Rats, there is no denying that ultimately it is Henry Cavill‘s Geralt that has sealed the deal. More specifically, when he waited on stage to bid goodbye to fans for the last time as Geralt.
