Brown had earlier shared on her Instagram about her debut novel, which then DiscussingFilm posted about on its Twitter account. The novel will be named ‘Nineteen Steps’ and will revolve around the circumstances of World War 2. Apparently, the story has picked inspiration from her own family history. It is supposed to be based on one of the biggest UK tragedies around the time, which was the 1943 Bethnal Green tube disaster. As per MSN, Brown heard the stories from her family, and it touched her deeply.

Liz Stein is the book’s editor and was also touched to know about the story. The tragedy took the lives of around 173 people, including around 63 children. While there were already threats of war, this incident occurred as a result of a stampede, with people dying due to asphyxiation.

Brown already has a huge fan base. But while everyone adores her as an actress, there is some skepticism over the idea of her launching herself as an author. When the news hit social media, fans were quick to express their feelings.
