A rare occasion and a tugging heart-wrench always follow to see one’s beloved characters getting old by the day. As such, this is the case with Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard as well as the entirety of Stranger Things cast. The Netflix show, which debuted back in 2016, has left fans overwhelmed seeing how the pre-teen cast grew into adults as the show readies itself for its fifth and final season soon.

Oftentimes, by the time a show airs and shows a year of progress, its characters may have aged by a year or two more. In the eight years of Stranger Things and its four seasons, a throwback photo shows a mere 11-year-old Eleven or Millie Bobby Brown and her similarly aged on-screen love interest, Finn Wolfhard or Mike Wheeler. The duo, who are now 19 and 20 years old, respectively, have left fans wondering at the slip of time.

Stranger Things celebrated its first episode in 2016 amidst much fanfare and widespread reception. The show quickly picked up on its themes and characters. From being a light-hearted teen drama to a serious, dark, and gritty adaptation, the show has won over many fans. Additionally, the show has stuck to its mantra to stay different and fresh from other shows of the same genre, like Game of Thrones. At the core of the show, one of the most important sub-plots that developed is the love and sparks between Eleven and Mike Wheeler.

The show, which has captivated fans for four seasons, will look to conclude its final season in a satisfying manner. The last season’s finale set the stage for a showdown in Hawkins against Vecna. However, though fans are anticipating the season, they cannot help but marvel at the duo. Especially after getting hit with nostalgia by the throwback pictures.

However, with season four of the show recently concluding and its fifth season’s pre-production on the move, fans are having a hard time saying goodbye.

Fans cannot believe it has been eight years of Stranger Things!

Time passes by in the blink of an eye. And this could not be any truer for the fans of Stranger Things. Many of the show’s ardent lovers have grown up watching this show and following its cast. As such, suddenly being hit by a nostalgia truck has left many ‘wounded’. Fans adorn praise and love for the on-screen couple.

Interestingly, a few also pointed out how there were four seasons in the span of eight years.

Regardless, the shower of praise for the on-screen couple and Millie Bobby Brown’s Eleven in particular is heart-warming.

Millie Bobby Brown and Finn Wolfhard will team up again with the rest of the Stranger Things cast for Season 5. However, the last season is under halt for the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strikes. Although a script is ready, production cannot be resumed except for some pre-production activities. As such, there could be delays and changes to the story in store. Moreover, many of the prominent cast members are also having a hard time bidding adieu.
