It seems that there is more in common that Netflix’s top-running shows such as Wednesday and The Witcher have in common than just banking off the success of previous well-known ventures. Much like the Lauren Hissrich series, Miles Miller’s work of art was also hailed for its brilliant adaptation. However, it is the lead actor of both series and their vast knowledge and dedication to the source material that makes the similarities uncanny. Jenna Ortega is to Wednesday what Henry Cavill was to The Witcher.
There is not a hint of doubt in the fact that every single member of the project gave it their best. However, it is through Jenna Ortega and Henry Cavill serving as the perfect vessel to showcase the writing and dedication that the shows reached their pinnacle. It is, however, Ortega’s recent revelation about how the script is unfolding that has fans anxious if this is going to be another Cavill case.

As Wednesday aired on Netflix, Jenna Ortega almost mirrored the Superman actor with the passion and connection that she shared with her character. And as she stood up to point out the inaccuracies in the script and how it simply was not on par with her character, fans could not help but be reminded of the reports about Henry Cavill being “too enthusiastic” about his character.
In Dax Shepard’s Armchair Expert podcast, Ortega said “There was a line about a dress she has to wear for a school dance and she says, ‘Oh, my God, I love it. Ugh — I can’t believe I said that. I literally hate myself.’ I had to go, ‘No.’”

Actors want something good not cringe. Hopefully these two won't get fired or have their career ruined, especially Jenna

Jenna Ortega pulled a Henry Cavill and refused to use lines that were out of character. This shouldn't be condemned. This should be the norm. https://t.co/LJaWvmDG46

Ortega and Cavill’s behavior cannot be defined as petulance because of the sheer dedication that they have presented their characters with.

If you obliged to a no blinking and bulking up clause just to bring authenticity to the character, you would not sit back and watch the creators go off the track. At least the majority of the fanbase would not. And their jibes at Netflix and the writers for repeatedly letting go of actors who actually bring glory to their series is a testament to this.
Wednesday finds an executive producer in Ortega
As Jenna Ortega revealed the recent clashes that she has had with the creators when it came to the script, many penned her down as “unprofessional”, a word that the actress herself used, and another case of an actor acting out. However, Ortega is playing an executive director for the upcoming season, and she is no more just a cast member.
