Over the years, romantic comedies have evolved beyond their traditional structures, delving into uncharted territories and complexities of reality. The past year has seen a resurgence of the genre. However, previous years experienced a scarcity of romantic comedy catalogs in Hollywood. While fans thought it would not be long before Netflix jumps back into the rom-com game, recent reports indicate that the streaming mogul is indeed ready to embrace love and laughter, with their subscribers all set to ship a new brewery of romance featuring Miranda Cosgrove and Pierson Fode.

Netflix has officially cast Miranda Cosgrove, the breakout star of Nickelodeon’s Drake & Josh and Pierson, famous for his portrayal in Based on a True Story, for their forthcoming romantic comedy, The Wrong Paris. Penned by Nicole Henrich, the film centers on Dawn, portrayed by Cosgrove, who is eager to travel to France with hopes of joining a Bachelor-style reality show set in Paris—only to find out that the show is actually taking place in Paris, Texas, as part of a producer's ratings stunt.
