Fans Cannot Wait for the Next Installment in ‘Chicken Run’ Universe After Netflix Announces Return of the Chicken Invader
Very few villains make as big a hit as the infamous Chicken invader, Ms. Tweedy. The supervillain made her debut in Chicken Run, against the backdrop of a farm, chicken hunts, and exploding gravy. Her farms were like death camps for hens, her main objective to whip a pie and kill as many of them with her half-lidded eyes. In addition to the chicken fights, the romantic pair of Ginger and Rocky just couldn’t stop revolting. But what seemed like the end of Mrs. Tweedy in Chicken Run is definitely not the case. As Netflix gears up for the next step into the Chicken Run universe, fans cannot wait to see their pie-machine-carrying villain on screen again.
Netflix dropped the trailer for Chicken Run: Dawn of the Nugget. At the end of the last movie, Rocky and Ginger were seen settling in their new home, away from the wreckage of gravy exploding death machine. While the 2000 movie might have killed the supervillain, 23 years later, the OTT giant announced the return of the purple-clad villain voiced by Miranda Richardson. With a blue eye shadow and a purple hairband, the chicken terroriser is back.

The director of the movie, Sam Fell, told in a statement on Aardman upon the release of the trailer that “They say a movie is only as good as its villain, and Ginger’s nemesis, Mrs. Tweedy is one of the all-time greats.” They were geared up for an “industrial-scale revenge on all chicken-kind.” Being the highest-grossing stop-motion animation film of all time, the sequel comes as a pleasant surprise to the fans.
Scheduled to release on December 15, the fans were as much in shock as joy after the news of the incoming invasion broke.
Fans cannot believe Chicken Run is back
Much to their delight, fans can watch one of the most intense and serious fights between the human and chicken kind, and this time with a couple of chickens spearheading all of chicken-kind. But one question loomed among the fans. It was the suspected death of Mrs. Tweedy in the last movie. While the prequel confirmed the obvious revival of the character, netizens were curious to see the storyline follow the 2000 prequel.
The fans were taken by a sweet surprise upon the return of the animated film.
