Fans Call Out Taylor Swift’s Latest Midnights Album for Snubbing Lana Del Rey in the Most Meghan Markle and Oprah Way
There are no two ways to the fact that Taylor Swift is a musical maestro. Her music is impactful to the point that it seems enchanting. Not only is the 11-time Grammy-winning artist a great singer but a brilliant songwriter. And any time that Taylor Swift drops an album even if it’s a re-recorded version of her old songs, the internet is set ablaze.
So when Taylor took the stage at the VMA’s in what many would say a ‘revenge dress’ and later announced her new album, safe to say fans were all ecstatic. And to fuel the fire, Taylor Swift revealed that the fourth track of her album will feature Lana Del Rey. To hear two of the greatest female artists in today’s time, was no less than a dream come true. While there was no hint of doubt that the track would be a topic for tea-time discussions on the internet for days to come. No one expected the topic to be ”Finding Lana Del Rey”.

Finding Lana Del Rey: A Taylor Swift production
Taylor Swift dropped her tenth studio album, Midnights when the clock struck 12. Additionally, Taylor Swift gives each of her midnights a persona. From a Labyrinth of falling in love to a Mastermind scheming for love, a masterpiece was made. While these are all wonderful tracks depicting why Taylor Swift is considered to be a musical genius.
It is the fourth-track Snow On The Beach which features Lana Del Rey, that has caught the eye. The absence of the Summertime Sadness singer from the track, to be more specific. Considering that the album is named Midnights, fans are wondering if Lana Del Rey perhaps disappeared just like the glass slippers when midnight arrived.
We all can finally understand why Lana Del Rey has such a severe case of Summertime Sadness, it is because she could never see the Snow On The Beach. When Swift profusely thanked Lana Del Rey for collaborating with her, fans expected her to at least sing a verse. However, Del Rey could hardly be heard even in the chorus of the song.
At this point, it would only make sense if Swift released a music video for Snow on The Beach, with Lana Del Rey featuring as the snow on a beach. This musical travesty too was the subject of an online meme fest. With the Meghan Markle and Oprah Winfrey interview reference being the highlight.
