Netflix is one of those streaming platforms which tries to provide awareness to its viewers along with entertainment. One such show is the highly loved Bridgerton, which revolved around classy old England. The show first came out in 2020 and since then has been a big hit. In fact, Netflix recently brought out a prequel to the show named Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story.

The show was released recently and since then, fans from all over the world are busy reminiscing about scenes from Bridgerton and trying to connect them to Queen’s past. One such scene that did not make sense to fans earlier but now does is when Queen Charlotte smiles as she sees Anthony and Kate dancing together. While initially, it seemed like any other person reacting, the new show revealed the reason.

The fan who posted the clip wrote in the caption, “queen charlotte watching kate and anthony dancing and smiling bc she sees herself and king george in them.” By this, she was referring to the spinoff of Bridgerton focusing on Charlotte and her past life. Being a woman of color, she had to struggle a lot when she arrived in a new country. Golda Rosheuvel plays the role of old Queen Charlotte in both shows.

Though she met her love, King George, there, it was difficult for her to fit into a society where she was not respected much. What touched her when she saw Kate and Anthony dancing together was the time when she first danced with King George. In fact, it was the first time two people of different races danced together, hence it was a big moment for her.
