Can she save Hawkins from Vecna’s clutches? And what fate awaits our beloved characters? But finally, after months of agonizing wait, the Hawkins gates are creaking open, and a glimmer of update has peeked through. This first glimpse ahead of the shooting has set the internet ablaze.

Pictures of Stranger Things season 5 set in Atlanta, Georgia recently surfaced on X, formerly Twitter. The photos showcase downtown Hawkins, which is situated on the same studio back lot where Hunger Games was filmed. It featured a secured military facility with a checkpoint, downtown businesses, and an industrial maintenance facility.

More photos showed a shopfront on the main street of the town and two bunker-like structures under construction. Another photo depicted a massive arch resembling an entrance to a scientific facility or another dimension. While the opening date of production remains unclear, Duffer Brothers have promised to kick it off at the earliest in January 2024

Hollywood double strike has already delayed season 5 shooting for months. So naturally seeing things finally moving on the set filled fans with a new energy. Fans could not hold back and got emotional after getting some new updates after a long time. Some dropped crying emojis while others expressed their wish to see their favorite characters, like Eddie Munson.

Some eagle-eyed fans also stated that the set gave The Last of Us a vibe, a show set in a post-apocalyptic world devoid of life.

Fans’ reactions to these teases have always been amazing, as they never leave a chance to showcase their love. However, the creators of the show also do not hold back from teasing their fans. Ross and Matt Duffer have kept viewers on the edge of their seats, dropping cryptic videos and photos regarding the plotline of season 5. Meanwhile, fans will only get to know how things end for the Hawkins gang when the show hits Netflix.
