Millie Bobby Brown has been a target for internet trolls since she was not even a teenager. When she was just 14, a bizarre meme trend falsely depicted her as a homophobic bigot, claiming she makes very offensive statements. The memes were so over-the-top and outrageous that Brown ended up quitting X entirely. But even years later, that same cruel trend is still making the rounds. Recently, a parody account named Drop Top posted a fake quote claiming that Brown called Noah Schnapp an “LGBBQ” and joked about setting him on fire.

Even though the story is completely made up, it has gone viral and been viewed millions of times. Unfortunately, many people who saw the post believed it was real. This spread of false information has left some people, especially those unfamiliar with online parody culture, with a very negative opinion of the Enola Holmes actress. But the truth is that the claim is entirely untrue. Neither Brown nor Schnapp has ever made or shared such a statement. Brown has addressed this kind of online trolling before.

Social media has many sides, and not all of them are pretty. Millie Bobby Brown, who became a star at 12, knows this too well. Back at the 2018 MTV TV Awards, she opened up about the cyberbullying that led her to delete her X account. In a pre-recorded video message, the young actress shared some timeless advice- “If you don’t have anything nice to say, just don’t say it"

Brown further added, “There should be no space in this world for bullying, and I’m not going to tolerate it”. It was a heartfelt message, but unfortunately, it did not stop the trolls. And the post from parody account Drop Top has reignited the same absurd meme trend that people thought had finally run its course.
