Netflix’s House of Cards may rest on pillars of vision and originality, but in a world where attention spans vanish faster than free Wi-Fi, keeping subscribers locked in year after year is no small feat. Still, with captivating crowd-pleasers like Wednesday and Stranger Things, audiences have learned to roll the dice and clutch their lattes. Sure, the wait between seasons can feel like a test of loyalty and patience, inching toward fatigue for some. However, just when the enthusiasm starts to wane, a well-placed teaser hits like espresso to the soul. And Emma Myers’ recent breadcrumbs about Wednesday season 2 were nothing short of caffeinated optimism.
While concerns may persist, they might just be more smoke than fire.

In a recent conversation with Variety ahead of the recent release of A Minecraft Movie, Emma Myers, who plays Enid Sinclair in Netflix’s Wednesday, shed light on the impact of Percy Hynes White’s absence from season 2. Although Hynes White is one of the several actors who do not return to Wednesday’s second installment, Enid feels the absence is not that big of a worry because “the script goes in a very specific direction.” And this applies to all the absent characters.

According to Myers, Wednesday season 2 will focus on a character-centric narrative. “It just makes so much sense to have the characters we have and to have the story we have,” she said of the events that make up the forthcoming installment. While concerns have long persisted with the follow-up season since Netflix dropped the Xavier Thorpe actor two years ago, Myers believes fans should not fret, as Wednesday season 2 has a lot more in store to pay attention to.
Emma Myers is not exactly worried about the ones who do not show up in the upcoming season of the Jenna Ortega-led show. However, something did scare her upon her return to the Wednesday set.
What gave Emma Myers the chills about Wednesday season 2?
In her conversation with Variety about Wednesday’s forthcoming installment, Emma Myers recalled not showing up at the Minecraft wrap party because she was headed straight to Ireland the next day for the Netflix show. Although the excitement was off the roof, so was her anxiety. Myers was reportedly “scared to go back” because she recounted re-watching the season 1 scenes and fearing whether she would be able to “re-create” those.

“It’s been so long,” Myers said. However, as soon as she got to the table read, it all came back to her. It was almost like no time had passed and nothing really changed. “I think I’ve lived with Enid for so long, it comes very naturally now,” she continued. Then again, she could not resist an Enid teaser, adding she had changed over the summer. But fans might have to wait until the release of Wednesday season 2 to witness the shifts.
