We may not get Henry Cavill flying in Superman’s robe again, but we can continue to see him in periodic movies. Since the beginning of his career, the actor has aced roles in fantasy or periodic movies, with his accent being a bonus to his look and acting skills. But unlike his fantasy superhero roles, this will lean more towards his Sherlock Holmes-style role of a spy.

His next spy-thriller and multi-starrer movie is The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare. Cavill’s co-star Eiza Gonzalez has now taken to Instagram to give us a sneak peek at behind-the-stage scenes. Here is a look into one of the first few pictures from the movie’s set.

Spy thrillers and periodic based movies never go out of trend. With the experience of Cavill and the entire team, the audience is set to be transported back into the freedom movements and secret organizations of a country and its rampant activities back during World War II. Mexican actress Eiza Gonzalez, who has acted in movies like Ambulance, Bloodshot, I Care A Lot, etc will now be seen alongside Cavill for her big role. She recently shared a BTS photo of the movie’s shoot on Instagram.

“Deadly Smart Marjorie. WWII,” she captioned the black-and-white photo. It showed the actress transformed into the 1940s era, as she was shot in a moment during the periodic movie shoot, standing with fellow actors dressed in uniforms. Guy Ritchie, who is a director and co-writer for the movie, was also tagged in the post. Going by the caption, she will probably portray the role of Marjorie, who could be Cavill’s love interest with her own abilities.

The movie is based on the 2015 book by Damien Lewis, likely inspired by true events. Here is a look into the upcoming periodic spy thriller.

What is The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare all about?

The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare will revolve around an underground operations group consisting of spies. Back during the Nazi attack, Winston Churchill teamed up with James Bond and writer Ian Fleming to form this group. Along with Cavill and Gonzalez, the film will also have Alan Ritchson, Henry Golding, and Alex Pettyfer in the lead. The flick will probably release sometime in 2024. If successful, we can expect it to turn into a franchise.
