Duffer Brothers Hint at a Lord of the Rings-Esque Finale for Stranger Things, After Millie Bobby Brown Specifically Asked for a Game of Thrones Like
Stranger Things season 4 has left fans with the biggest mystery to ponder until we meet Millie Bobby Brown in the final face-off with Vecna. Well, the monster did accomplish what he told us in the trailer. As Hawkins fell into pieces when a hellish earthquake took place in the end and it was explosive in every way like the creators promised.
Although we lost our beloved Eddie Munson that took the internet by storm because all the metalhead fans are still not coping with his tragic death and want him back as a supernatural entity. But Duffer Brothers has something different and more thrilling for fans to experience in season 5. They hinted at a Lord of the Rings-esque finale for Stranger Things, after Millie specifically asked for a Game of Thrones-like.

Millie Bobby Brown wants a Game of Thrones massacre in Stranger Things
After the release of Stranger Things season 4, Millie and Noah sat down with The Wrap to talk about the show. During the conversation, they were asked about what they wished for characters in the last season. In his response, Noah stated that they all fear for their deaths as anything is possible. While Millie Bobby Brown said there are too many characters in the show and some of them should die.
“We need to have the mindset of ‘Game of Thrones.’ Kill me off! They tried killing David off and they brought him back!” remarked the Godzilla star.
The lead star wished for more deaths as they couldn’t even take a picture together. Moreover, shortly after this Duffer Brothers responded to her statement on the Happy Sad Confused podcast. They said that this is a different show and it is Hawkins not Westeros of Games of Thrones.

The creators moved on to the ending of season 5 saying this time it won’t be so long as volume 2 of season 4. Also, they hinted at the closure comparing it with Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King.
“It’s going to be Return Of The King-ish,” they said, “with like, eight endings,” revealed Duffer Brothers. Therefore, the viewers can expect a happy ending just like in The Return of the King when all the hobbits return to the shire after evil forces are defeated.
