Given the recent turn of events, there is a pang in the heart every time Henry Cavill and a big movie franchise are in a sentence that ends with a question mark. At first, it was the news of him quitting The Witcher. And then came the announcement of his return to DC, which within a month was rebutted with another announcement of him leaving Superman for good.

Both roles have been pivotal not just in Cavill’s career but in their own cinematic universes. Henry Cavill brought life, vulnerability, and struggle to both the characters, which will now remain iconic, thanks to him.

With both The Witcher and Superman out of his way, fans need him to be cast as James Bond. However, it is not just a mindless plea. Cavill with his blue eyes, British accent, class, and physique is as close as it gets to the real James Bond, who may as well have been an ancestor.
