Do Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, and Other Members of Royal Family Like Netflix’s ‘The Crown’?
Netflix came up with season five of The Crown on November 08 and it is already making headlines. The show follows the journey of Britain’s longest-reigning monarch, Queen Elizabeth II, and stirred a lot of controversies before season five. While the first four seasons were massive hits, the Palace was worried about the fifth series as it colored the new monarch King Charles III and Queen Consort Camilla in a gray light.
Apart from the controversies, Netflix’s The Crown is majorly famous for its amazing reviews, both from the public and crown servants. The members of the royal family are also not averse to The Crown fever. A lot of royals, including the likes of Prince Harry, Meghan Markle, Princess Anne, and others, have often spoken about the show publicly.

Prince Harry loved The Crown
During their explosive interview with Oprah Winfrey, Meghan Markle admitted that she and Prince Harry watched certain episodes of the famous show. The Duke candidly expressed his opinion about The Crown while appearing on The Late Show With James Corden in February 2021. The royal prince seemed impressed with the makers for giving an idea to the public about the life and hardships of the Palace members.
“It’s fictional. But it’s loosely based on the truth. I’m way more comfortable with The Crown than I am seeing the stories written about my family, or my wife, or myself,” Prince Harry had said.
The Duchess of York, Sarah Ferguson, also enjoys watching the Netflix series. She loved her wedding episode so much that she offered her consultation to the executive producer Andy Harries. Although her proposal was turned down, Ferguson makes sure to be up to date with the television program.

Princess Anne has a major role to play in season three and season four of The Crown. However, she has not watched the show but is well aware of its existence. In an ITV documentary, she commented on actress Erin Doherty’s comments regarding her hair. Doherty essayed Anne on the screen and admitted that it took her around two hours to set her hair according to the character.
Speaking about the same, Anne told that the comment took her by surprise as she managed to comb her hair every day in less than 15 mins. Meanwhile, Princess Diana’s brother Charles Spencer is not a fan of the television series. He refused to let the team shoot at the Althorp House estate for the show.
