Surprisingly, in one of the scenes of the film, the painting casually hangs out in the background of Dr. Robert Neville. Smith played the role of Neville, who is a scientist who is the only survivor of the New York plague.

The character of Smith comes to the room finding out that the boy, Ethan, whom he rescued by a pair of immune humans, is watching Shrek. In the same scene, the painting can be spotted in the background and not just in that scene, it is there are many of the film’s scenes. The painting is the one Neville takes from the Museum of Modern Art.

The movie is a masterwork of the action genre that showed the havoc brought on by a virus that was intended to treat cancer. While the makers did a great job by adding the Gogh detailing to the film, fans have a funny reaction to it. That is because, towards the end, Neville ends up blowing up his own house. He not only destroys the painting but the other pieces of art he collected over time.

The classic big hit will be soon returning for a second installment. I Am Legend 2, which has spent enough days in production, will start filming sometime soon. Based on the statements made by the creators, the movie is set for a summer 2025 release date.
