The showrunner, Lauren Hissrich, also took a moment to talk about the changes they made to the beloved bard’s arc. She stated they wanted his music to be more essential in season 3. Therefore, the creators featured one of those moments in episode 7 Out of the Fire, Into the Frying Pan.
In this episode, viewers saw Jaskier trying to reunite with his friend by asking for the permission of Dryads of Brokilon to let him meet Geralt. However, when they denied him, he just sat down at the edge of the forest and started singing the song titled ‘Enchanted Flowers’. According to the American producer, this song was the turn where this bard finally achieved something important with his music.

In the documentary, Joey Batey also sat down to talk about this song he wrote with Joe Trapanese. The actor-turned-singer said that the things that have happened around the character somehow gave him the drive to survive. So when he was almost attacked in the Brokilon Forest, he stood back and decided to wait outside for his friend.
This time, his music helped him to make a connection with the people surrounding him. Unlike previous seasons, his song was not just something performative through which he used to convey his emotions or stories. Instead, this new approach helped him dig deeper, which eventually become a part of the history book Half a Century of Poetry.
