Meghan Markle is a sweetheart. Time and again, the former American actress has given a glimpse of her compassionate and lovable side to her fans. Before her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018, Markle was quite active on social media and she regularly interacted with her fans and followers. She was in social work as well due to an association with the UN and inspired thousands of girls across the globe.

It was in 2015 that Meghan Markle took the role of the United Nations Women’s Advocate for Women’s Political Participation and Leadership. As a part of her position, the Suits alum toured Rwanda to meet the parliamentarian leaders. She also traveled to Gihembe to visit a refugee camp. With her work, Meghan inspired a young girl, and the former made sure to appreciate her efforts.

In 2016, Markle attended a Build event in New York City. During the interaction, the host Donna Freydlin asked the actress about her opinion on social media. Speaking about the impact of social media, the former actress pointed out a young girl named Emily Sorrells from the audience. The Duchess knew about Emily attending the event due to social media. 

“I only know (Emily) through Twitter. I knew she was coming because I saw it on social media. She’s going on a trip soon to Costa Rica to do some aid work because she said that my UN stuff inspired her,” Meghan said during the event, as mentioned in the video. 

Meanwhile, to praise Emily for her efforts, Meghan wrote a letter for her, which she brought to the event. The American star went down the stage to meet her young fan and handed her the letter. 

Emily was all praises for Markle following her kind act four years later, when the interview video resurfaced in 2020. She posted a video on her official Twitter handle to hail the Suits star as the most inspiring human she has ever met. She also backed the actress against all the hate that she had been receiving then for her strained relationship with the royal family.
