Today, Markle may not be the apple of royal family’s and enthusiast’s eyes but before her marriage in 2018 and the infamous stepdown in 2020, the former actress won the hearts of the little ones in the palace with one of her many skills. Here’s how she did it.
Meghan Markle won the hearts of little royals with her special skills
In an interview with Esquire Magazine, Meghan shed light on how she is a pro in cooking. Although the food might not be one of a chef’s kisses, the former American actress took pride in her excellent kitchen management skills. “I pride myself in figuring out how to elevate a dish with a little preserved lemon, or then a sprinkle of Maldon salt,” affirmed the former working royal. In addition to this, her contribution to the kitchen was a great help to Kate Middleton when she had her hands full two kids and a third pregnancy.
Reports on ET news say Meghan often used to show up when Kate was expecting her third child. To lessen her job, the Suits actress used to drop the younger royals, Prince George and Princess Charlotte, with a few baked goods that they adored. In addition to showing off her baking skills within the Royal Walls, this also helped bridge the gap between the Sussexes and Wales.
However, things didn’t remain as rosy after Markle’s wedding, and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex ultimately decided to give up their royal duties in 2020. The couple is now based in California, where they have been raising their children. While recent transgressions suggest tough times for the Sussexes after the Queen’s death, the couple seems to be going ahead with Harry’s memoir and the proposed tell-all documentary.
