It is no less than a war situation between Prince Harry and Meghan Markle and Prince William and Kate Middleton. The two royal couples are often called out for trolling each other in a subtle and uncanny way. However, with their Netflix show, Harry & Meghan, the Duke and Duchess have come out in the open. In the second episode of the docuseries, Markle revealed how formal it was to host Prince William and Kate Middleton for a dinner during their first meeting.

The Duchess reckoned that she was surprised seeing the Prince and Princess of Wales being uptight and reserved. She also mentioned that it was jarring for the royal couple when she offered a hug. Meghan Markle kept her look extremely casual for her first meeting with Prince Harry’s brother and sister-in-law. She opted for ripped jeans for the dinner and was barefoot. There has been no reaction from Prince William and Kate Middleton regarding Markle’s claims. The Palace is expected to continue with its policy to never complain and never explain for the bombshell docuseries. However, the Wales Christmas Card seems to have a secret message.

What is the connection between Meghan Markle and William and Kate’s Christmas Card?

Before the holidays, royal family members follow the annual tradition of unveiling the photo they will be using for their Christmas card. As the festival is around the corner, Prince William and Kate Middleton also released their Christmas picture. The picture showcased Prince William, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, Prince Louis, and Kate Middleton walking hand in hand in the countryside. In the snap taken by Matt Porteous, Wales looked at their casual best. 

Prince William and Kate Middleton donned jeans and shirt for the picture. It is believed that Meghan Markle is the reason the royal couple selected a casual picture this year. With the Christmas card, they have tried to dismiss the former actress’ claims of them being formal behind closed doors as well.
