Meghan Markle narrated a heart-wrenching story 

Not many are aware that, before being blessed with Lilibet, Meghan Markle suffered a miscarriage. The Duchess talked about going through the devastating loss in her column for the New York Times in November 2020. In the article, the former American actress described the heartbreaking moment in detail and how she and her husband coped with the situation.

Markle mentioned that during a day in Los Angeles, she was changing Archie’s nappies when she felt a sudden pain. The Duchess dropped to the floor while holding her son close to her heart. “I felt the clamminess of his palm and kissed his knuckles, wet from both our tears. Staring at the cold white walls, my eyes glazed over. I tried to imagine how we’d heal,” she had written in 2020.

Meghan Markle discussed the pain of losing her baby in the Oprah Winfrey interview as well. She revealed how difficult it was for her to lose her baby and her father as well. Notably, Meghan Markle has had no contact with her father Thomas Markle for years as her wedding to Prince Harry created a wedge between them.
