The differences between the Princess of Wales and the Duchess of Sussex have always deepened ever since Harry and Meghan Markle withdrew from the Royal Family in 2020. Although the four of them have jointly put up a united front in times of grief and misery, the distance between them has stretched far away. Earlier, the cracks were visible vividly between the two brothers. However, now it has further deepened between the two royal daughters-in-law. 

This came in light of a social media post that was shared by the Prince and Princess of Wales. The upcoming Christmas of 2022 will have its own dynamics, as both the couples seem to have their own plans for it. However, Kate Middleton has reportedly widened the gap further through her recent social media uploads.

As is the custom, Kate Middleton is bestowed with the responsibility of arranging the Christmas Carol every year. Hence, following the norm, she has taken it up her hands this time too. However, things are going to drastically change from the way they have been in the past few years. Regardless, she posted a beautiful in-process sketch of an ideal picture of the gorgeously donned Palace during Christmas. 

The sketch most likely included every member of the family, including the Late Queen’s corgis but did not have Sussexes in the same.

The caption asked everyone in the UK to join the family for the very special Christmas service that they will stream live on ITV. And as a matter of fact, the Duke and the Duchess will not be joining them this year as they announced before. They have reportedly “no plans” to spend the eve with the family. Owing to the ongoing controversies and future consequences, they have decided to distant themselves as much as possible. 

Amidst this all, the post by Kate Middleton seems to take a major jibe at the couple who will not be attending the Carol. This felt more like a tease from the Wales to the Sussexes as one side would celebrate the festival and the other would not. Reportedly, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have officially turned down King Charles’s Christmas invitation to the palace.
