Despite Tiff With Kate Middleton, Meghan Markle Shared a Sweet Moment With Princess Charlotte During Queen’s State Funeral

The differences between Meghan Markle and Kate Middleton are not unknown to the world. The two royal women have had several disagreements from the very beginning. In one of her interviews, Meghan even accused the Princess of Wales of making her cry just before her wedding. The rift between the Sussexes and the Cambridges was quite evident during the Queen’s funeral and service.

Though Prince William and Kate Middleton invited Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for a walk outside Windsor Castle, they were seen giving a cold shoulder to the former working royals in all the ceremonies. Meghan Markle gives a comforting smile to Princess Charlotte

Princess Charlotte was one of the youngest royal members to attend Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral at Westminster Abbey in September. Meghan Markle, along with other royal members including Queen Consort Camilla, Kate Middleton, Charlotte, and her brother Prince George were standing outside the Abbey. This was when the young Princess looked around, only to settle her gaze at the Duchess of Sussex.

Meghan was quick to reciprocate the eye contact with a sweet smile. Notably, Charlotte looked extremely happy with the little encounter with her aunt. It was a heart-melting gesture by the former American actress. Meanwhile, Meghan and Harry’s children, Archie and Lilibet, were absent from the funeral.

Meanwhile, the couple did not find it appropriate to fly their three-year-old and one-year-old to the United Kingdom for the ceremony. The Sussexes were in the United Kingdom only when the Queen breathed her last. Thus, they were a part of all the major services to pay their respect to the late monarch.
