Only days into David Harbour’s announcement of resuming his work on the sets of the Stranger Things finale, the actor made yet another declaration. While attending this year’s Motorcycle Comic Con event, David Harbour addressed fan’s questions regarding season 5. As he assured the fans that this season would finalize and conclude Stranger Things, he also reassured them that the end would be in “a real way”. While in talks, David Harbour also said that Netflix’s Stranger Things spin-offs are in the works.
However, the show’s final season will come in full circle and the spin-offs would not be an expansion of the original storytelling. Harbour additionally mentioned that the initial season, which encompasses the laboratory and the Upside Down world, expanding to the gates opening in the heart of Hawkins in season 4, will maintain a cohesive narrative by the end of season 5.
As resounding as that sounds, it also affirms that the saga of Stranger Things is coming to closure. However, with the end also comes a new beginning, and that credits to the Stranger Things spin-offs.

Cut down to chasing the 80s nostalgia, fans are not only experiencing excitement but also journeying an emotional rollercoaster with the final season of action. As the bid goodbye nears, the franchise’s spin-off ideas become the savior of the day. Previously, Finn Wolfhard had spilled some beans regarding pitching a spin-off idea set 20 years later to the Duffer Brothers. Furthermore, the talks regarding Stranger Things animated series are also brewing.
Although the plot remains under wraps, Flying Bark is allegedly taking the saddle for this production. Apart from that, ‘Stranger Things: The First Shadow’, a play, is staging for a London show in December. Although there is more to the tale, David Harbour’s statement makes one speculate how the end is near and whether the spin-offs will fill the void in reality.
