“Lights camera, and action!” The line has essentially driven every project in the entertainment industry, from its first steps to the limelights of reputation. Among the countless productions that start and end their journeys every now and then, only a few go on the mantlepiece. Thus, out of the plethora of shows, each with its own fanbase, an exceptional few have redefined entire genres and struck a harmonious chord that forever resonates. Joining the ranks of Friends, Breaking Bad, and Suits is Netflix’s Stranger Things.

The behemoth sci-fi teenage series is like the aforementioned ones, a pioneer in its own genre. Since its 2016 release, the show has gone on to win twelve Emmy Awards and capture the imagination of millions of its audience. Now as the Millie Bobby Brown-led show passes through its biggest impasse yet, owing to SAG-AFTRA strikes, the writers’ room has come out with news of palpable interest to the fans.

Scheduled to wrap up filming by 2024, Stranger Things is running months behind schedule. Thanks to the WGA green light, the show’s writers have assembled in full force to write as well as regularly deliver updates on the show. In their latest tweet on X (formerly Twitter), the team teased a barrage of incoming behind-the-scenes from season five. Rather, it will be such voluminous that fans “won’t know what to do with it all.”

The show has regularly dropped BTS stills and gags from previous seasons. From Vecna’s hair rolls to Brown warming up with jumping jacks, the team is quite conversant with the fans. In a chilling irony, despite the writers’ claim, the final season has still not shot a single scene to fit the bill.
