Sparkling a romance that would go on to create a plethora of political controversies, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry first started dating back in 2016. And some 7 years later, they share two beautiful children, adding glee to their home. But back then, not many knew about them having secretly started dating. However, it seems like the prime minister of Antigua and Barbuda had a say on it, perhaps sending the two in sheer embarrassment.
Through the major part of their Netflix docuseries, Harry & Meghan shared with the netizens their beautiful story. Just to tell you a cute fact, Prince Harry fell in love with Meghan Markle over the cutest Snapchat filter. And on their very first date, the Prince was late. However, it did not take long for the two to be smitten by each other. As soon as they went public some four months after secretly dating each other, they got a seemingly humiliating invite from the prime minister of the Caribbean country, Gaston Browne.

Gaston Browne apparently invited the Duke of Sussex and his girlfriend to spend the honeymoon at Antigua and Bermuda after learning “that there may be a new addition to the royal family very soon.” In his speech, which was a collaboration with tourism, he further asserted that theirs is the best honeymoon destination in the entirety of the Caribbean. Prince Harry certainly did not know where to put himself as he reportedly stared at his shoes throughout the speech.
Before introducing the then 32-year-old Duke to the female guests there, the prime minister assured him what happens in Antigua, stays in Antigua (via The Telegraph and E!). Hinting that the royal couple will not have to worry about their whereabouts and public exposure. But it seems like Meghan Markle refused the cringe offer, as there are no reports of the two visiting the place.
