Cowboy Bebop: The Original Anime Arrives on Netflix Before the Live-Action
Netflix is finally bringing in the original Cowboy Bebop to the platform, before the release of a live-action series of the franchise in November. The original animated Japanese anime first aired in the year 1998 and it has been loved by fans ever since.
Cowboy Bebop is known to merge various genres and is one of the most celebrated series among anime fans. The original series went on to inspire 2 manga series and an animated movie. It is currently is on Hulu in the United States, but will soon join the Netflix catalog.

Set in the future, in the year 2071 to be specific; Cowboy Bebop follows a team of Jet Black, Faye Valentine, Radical Ed, and Ein the corgi along with their leader Spike Spiegel. They hunt down criminals for money.
The original series comprises a total of 26 episodes, all directed by none other than Shinichiro Watanabe. Keiko Nobomuto served as the screenwriter for the show while Yoko Kanna was the composer.
What is the hype really about?
The show has been here for the last 2 decades and is even available on Hulu for the people in the United States. However, the reason everyone is getting excited over its Netflix arrival is because of an announcement made in 2018. It revealed that Netflix would produce a live-action adaptation of Cowboy Bebop. Now, this adaptation’s release date is just over a month away.

“For me, it’s a great surprise and honor that the Cowboy Bebop universe has thrived for over 20 years and will continue onward,” exclaimed Shinichirō Watanabe, the original director of the anime.
Viewers will have roughly a month to watch the 26 episodes of the anime before they move on to the live-action adaptation of the show.

The fans of the original show are really hyped for this live-action version of their beloved universe; they have all the reasons in their world for that. One prime reason is that the original voice cast from the anime is returning for the series. This includes the likes of Koichi Yamadera as Spike, Megumi Hayashibara as Faye Valentine, Norio Wakamoto as Vicious, and Gara Takashima as Julia.
