Chris Hemsworth is back and armed in his Tyler Rake persona. From picking Thor’s armor to fighting from a helicopter, the Australian actor remains one of the top action stars in Hollywood. After delivering a thrill-packed performance in Extraction back in 2020, both he and the project proved to be successful despite being released during the pandemic. Even in risky times, the movie managed to garner more than average reviews. Hemsworth also managed to be seen in another role instead of being stuck in his Marvel character.

Netflix, who often launches projects only to cancel them, also seems to have put its eggs in Sam Hargrave’s basket. Joe and Anthony Russo will produce the sequel with elevated action sequences and a plot of twists and turns. Along with Hemsworth, it will also have a mix of old and new cast members with Ola Kurylenko, Golshifteh Farahani, Daniel Bernhardt, Tinatin Dalakishvili, etc. While the character is presumed to be dead in the first movie, the black ops mercenary returns for another high-risk mission in this sequel.

It shows him make and capture lifelong memories of his family while going through testing tasks. But this Netflix movie brings him out of the break as he still continues to work.

So, with the sequel premiering soon, fans can’t wait for June 16th to arrive.

One fan posted a clip from the first part stating how it was great, but that the sequel seems even better, while another appreciated the “INSANE” action sequences.

Meanwhile, the actor’s fanbase is also strong enough to pull the audience in. One fan even went on to say how they preferred this over the John Wick franchise. If this sequel proves to be a hit, it might just turn into a franchise as well. Extraction 2 will release on Netflix on 16th June.
