Can ‘Queen Charlotte’ Beat the Likes of ‘Stranger Things’ and ‘The Witcher’ to Top the Netflix Charts and Become the Most Popular Series of All Time?
When they released on the streaming giant, shows Stranger Things and The Witcher broke various records by staying on top of the charts. Now, with the tremendous craze of Queen Charlotte: A Bridgerton Story, fans cannot get enough of the powerful story. Amidst the enormous success of the show, is the show going to break the previous records of the show to become the most popular series of all time?
The Netflix Original series reached 158 million viewing hours while staying on top for the second week. Now, with this stunning success, it might become Netflix’s most-watched series of all time. This is the second consecutive week of the show being in the #1 position on the chart. Since its premiere on the 4th of May, the show received 148.28 million hours of viewing hours.

Now, as per the constant position on the charts, this Bridgerton prequel has a chance to join the list of most-watched series of all time, along with the previous seasons of the original show. Surprisingly, the first two seasons of Bridgerton have also resurfaced on the list. In the first 28 days of its streaming, these seasons had gotten more than 600 million viewing hours.
Although if we compare the prequel with Bridgerton, Queen Charlotte has only 6 hour-long episodes. These 16 days are crucial for the prequel in Netflix’s 28-day cycle calculation.
Will fans have more of Queen Charlotte and King George?
Shonda Rhimes created the historical drama series for the American OTT platform. The Prequel spin-off, Queen Charlotte tells the story of the incredible rise of young Queen Charlotte to power and influence during the late 18th century. With the utmost popularity the show has gotten, fans want more of the sizzling romance between the King and the Queen. Fans even got excited as soon as the trailer was released.

Nevertheless, the showmaker revealed to Deadline that she did not have any dialogue about the possibility of a sequel. However, she also shared her belief of how they had told a complete tale of complicated, imperfect love. She did not leave the answer abruptly as she said she did not want to rule out any opportunity because nothing was certain yet.
