Everything that happened all these while with the Duke and Duchess of Sussexes has gained much media speculation and analysis by experts. In fact, the bombshell incidents gained such turbulence that even world-renowned personalities could not help but give their opinions on the same. Speaking of such striking events that made headlines to date, no one can ever forget the Oprah Winfrey interview with Meghan Markle. 

However, the aftermath of the same was equally surprising. The former first lady of America, Michelle Obama, who has hardly ever commented on any interview before, took her stance in open public. While in an interview on her own, she remarked on the infamous bombshell interview of the Sussexes. However, not really in the way everyone else did, but rather vouching out for the Duchess herself. Out of the many striking revelations in the Oprah Winfrey interview, the one that Michelle Obama stressed was racism. Known for her active participation in worldwide movements like Black Lives Matter the former first lady could not ignore the part where Markle mentioned racism. The Duchess mentioned an unnamed member of the royal family who was apparently worried about Archie’s skin color. Focusing on the same, Michelle Obama expressed her deepest concern stating, “it was heartbreaking to hear”.

She further continued saying “race is not a new construct in this world”. Hence she was not exactly so surprised when she heard about the Duchess’ feelings and have them articulated. Sharing her sympathy with Markle’s pain Michelle Obama helplessly prayed for forgiveness for the Royal Family.

She even remarked on how families across the world need to understand the sensitivity of the case. Only after which they can use it as a teachable moment for us all. However, speaking of the Royal Family, the senior members of the Palace have always denied anything as such. The late monarch, Queen Elizabeth promised to address the issue in a private session. The future King Prince Williams has straight up defied any royal to be racist.
