Although Netflix is absolutely loaded with numerous series with creative storylines and top-notch names in Hollywood, only a handful of them manage to rank in the top. And Blood of Zeus is one of them. Inspired by Greek mythology, it is not just another entertaining anime series but has also been part of nine elite shows on Netflix with a 100% Rotten Tomatoes score.

Its third season, which successfully earned a renewal last year, is now ready to enthrall the series’ fans. And in its latest tease, a new villain Cronus, is seen ready to challenge the Gods.

As promised last year by creators Vlas and Charley Parlapanides, the third and final season of Blood of Zeus is set to make its expected return to Netflix in 2025. Cronus, the King of the Titans and father of Zeus, is seen making a ground-shaking entry in the newly released trailer. With the arrival of Cronos in the mix, Heron, Seraphim, and the gods will be seen facing the most dangerous adversaries of their lives, yet this time, as per the creators.

The character is dubbed by Alfred Molina, known for his most famous role as Doctor Octopus in Spider-Man 2 and again in Spider-Man: No Way Home. The mythology-based lore that encircles the lives of Heron, Zeus, and Hera in the world of anime has successfully carved its place in the hearts of fans. A heroic showdown between Heron and the gods and Typhon, Cronus, and the Titans has also been hinted at by them.

Who else is making an arrival in the Blood of Zeus finale?

The conclusion of Heron's saga has its stage set for the most epic conclusion of this thrilling anime, and the arrival of Cronus makes the matter even hotter. But apart from him, ready to make a splash in this high-action anime series is Simon Kassianides, known for his notable work in The Mandalorian and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. The Greek Cypriot actor is yet another gem in this animated mythology, studded with existing Greek talents.

Slated for a May 2025 release, this fabulous anime, which has been nominated for a Writers Guild of America Award for Best Animation Writing, is ready to conclude its tale of trilogy. While anime has been mostly another form of fictional storytelling, with Blood of Zeus, things have been more culturally impactful as it honors Greek mythology's rich complexity, and its all-Greek cast is a symbol of cultural representation. With Cronus’s arrival, fans are set to get a fitting finale this summer.
