After Harry Styles, The Weeknd is now ready to take a step into the film industry. The Canadian singer’s music explores escapism, romance, and melancholia. He often takes inspiration from his personal experiences and is famous for his sonic versatility and dark lyricism. The singer is ready to meet the goth queen, Jenna Ortega, in the upcoming film.
The Wednesday star is going to appear alongside the 33-year-old singer in the film based on his original idea. The movie will mark the debut of The Weeknd in the film industry. However, the American actress has been in the industry for quite some time now. While the ‘Starboy’ singer and The Fallout star are confirmed, Barry Keoghan is also going to be a part of the star team.

As per Deadline, as The Weeknd had the idea of the story, he confronted Trey Edward Shults. Shults will direct the film along with being the co-writer. Shults and Abel “The Weeknd” Tesfaye have written the script together. Reza Fahim is also part of the scriptwriting team along with the producer’s team as well. Meanwhile, the Wednesday star and Shults are executive producers.
Apart from these actors, directors, and producers, the film has also confirmed the appearances of other artists. Chayse Irvin, who was a part of the Netflix film Blonde, will be acting as the director of photography while the composer and producer named OPN, who is known as Daniel Lopatin, is composing music with the Blinding Lights singer for the film.
The makers are yet to reveal the details about the plot as the movie is still in the production phase. While fans are waiting for more updates about the film, they can not stop gushing over Jenna Ortega and her feature in the upcoming movie.
