The Gossip Girl alum, Blake Lively, may not make movie appearances every year like her equally famous husband, Ryan Reynolds. However, when she chooses to appear in one, her projects always receive buzz. Her movie picks in the past decade have included interesting projects that allowed her to stretch her acting wings. And her next choice, It Ends With Us, also happens to be yet another interesting choice. 

The upcoming project will mark her return to the screens after 2018’s A Simple Favor. For a mother of three, it must take a lot to manage her professional life with her family life. We understand the long breaks between releases, Lively!

Blake Lively announces her next project with Justin Baldoni

Deadline reports that Blake Lively is making her comeback to the silver screen with Justin Baldoni in a romance drama, It Ends With Us. The story follows Lily, who has just graduated college and fate has her meet Ryle. Sparks fly between the two. As the two start getting closer, Lily’s old flame Atlas resurfaces to shake things up. 

It is adapted from Colleen Hoover’s novel of the same name. Published in 2016, the book was a hit and is printed in 20 other languages. Hoover is also attached to the project as an executive producer. Meanwhile, the 35-year-old actress will not only star but also executive produce the movie.

Additionally, her co-star Justin Baldoni is donning several hats for this production. He is both starring and directing the project. Christy Hall is working on the script, and Wayfarer Studios and Sony Projects are backing up the project. Alex Saks from the Saks Picture Company is also reportedly attached as a producer. 

The blonde actress is also set to try her hands at directing. She is going to helm Bryan Lee O’Malley’s graphic novel Seconds’ adaptation. 2018’s surprise hit A Simple Favor is also getting a sequel. And both Lively and Anna Kendrick are to reprise their roles. But currently Lively is pregnant with her fourth child. She has joked about her desire to create and breed and has recently offered maternal styling tips to her followers!
