One of the reasons that Netflix is so successful is that it continues to churn out original series in almost all countries. Though it has the biggest market in the US, its powerful presence in its neighboring Latin land has given the streaming giant many of its top shows. Once again, they are ready to entertain the global audience with a Spanish Netflix Original series.

Joining the slate of Netflix's tightly packed schedule, Billionaires’ Bunker is ready to make a splash. From its cast to release date and plot, here is everything you need to know about the Spanish series.

Most of the fantasy series revolve around the re-imagination of the past or the unexpected imagination of the future, but not Billionaires’ Bunker. The show is based on a similar idea where they imagine the situation of panic as World W-- 3 is about to start. The idea is unique, and for it they have assembled an all-Spanish cast of Natalia Verbeke from The Son of the Bride, Joaquín Furriel credited for The Freshly Cut Grass and Rest in Peace, and Miren Ibarguren from The Test.

Also starring in the show will be Puerto Rican actor Carlos Santos from Vacation Friends 2, and Alícia Falcó from The Fear. Netflix’s Swimming Pool alum Álex Villazán and Toxic Town’s Samuel López are also part of it. Other than that, Montse Guallar, Miguel Garcés, and Omar Banana, known for the path-breaking Love & Revolution, will also be seen in the series.

What is the plot of Billionaires’ Bunker?

As per IMDb, the series will revolve around a group of billionaires who are forced to take refuge in what happens to be a luxury bunker, Kimera Underground Park, as World W-- III is about to commence. Forced to live their life, think heartbreaking scenes from the world torn apart by w—through their screen. However, their own life will not be so problematic as their underground city will be filled with the luxury of a Zen garden, restaurant, psychologist's couch, basketball court, cocktail bar, gym, and spa.

The website adds that their ancient privilege will be ”reduced to a life adapted to a luxurious hole, an underground universe full of enigmas,” where much more is about to happen. The synopsis is intriguing and raises the readers' curiosity, who wish to know what happens next in this ill-fitting situation. 

Does the Billionaires’ Bunker have a release date?

Netflix has not yet confirmed a release date for the upcoming eight-episode series. But its preliminary release date is said to be September 19, 2025. However, a final date will be confirmed by Netflix only. The upcoming series is co-created by Spanish producer and writer Álex Pina, who is known for Money Heist, and Esther Martínez Lobato, who often works together with Pina.

 Billionaires’ Bunker happens to be the fifth Netflix show created by Álex Pina. Co-directors of the series are David Barrocal and Jesús Colmenar, who were also involved in Money Heist. It might soon join the list of upcoming Netflix releases fans are excited about.
