Billie Eilish could follow in the steps of Frank Sinatra in the Grammy Awards
Billie Eilish has become a household name in the music industry only at 20. From creating music in her home to world tours, her unique singing style has propelled her to global stardom. Achieving another milestone, she became the first teenager to win all four major categories in music, including Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Album of the Year, and Best New Artist – at the Grammy Awards.
According to the information by Gold Derby, it is assumed if Billie is nominated at the Grammys for “TV,” next year, she will set another record in history to be the second singer and first female to receive ROTY nominations for four consecutive years.
So far, only Frank Sinatra has made it four consecutive ROTY noms: Witchcraft (1959), High Hopes (second 1959 ceremony), Nice ‘n’ Easy (1961), and The Second Time Around (1962). The American singer did not win any of them but he did receive ROTY in 1967 for Strangers in the Night.
Moreover, the Happier Ever After singer can be a strong contender seeing her achievements till now. So there is a chance that she could have a seat from 10 nomination slots at the 2023 Grammy. However, as for now, she is outside the list since TV has no connection to her success.
But anything is possible because Billie Eilish is highly supported by her fans. Therefore, she would follow the steps of Frank Sinatra if she was nominated under the Record of the Year category.
