Ryan Reynolds is undoubtedly one of the most versatile and loved actors in the world. His ability to deliver at an insanely fast pace, splendid comic timing, and the way he just steps into any role is literally amazing. But where does one find his movies? Netflix, in recent years, has become a one-stop destination for movies, but this is the curious case of Ryan Reynolds and Netflix and these two are just starting to get along.
With Netflix’s Red Notice releasing really soon on, it might just be a good time to treat yourself to whatever tiny bit of Ryan Reynolds the streaming giant has. With amazing animated movies, action comedies, and even fantasy movies; Reynolds has done it all, but…
Ryan Reynolds and his crazy diversity
Ryan has worked on several projects; comedy, action, emotional, fantasy; you just name the genre and there is a 90% chance that this man has done a film of the same genre. Sure, he is most loved for his talkative anti-hero role of the infamous Deadpool from Marvel Comics, but he has done a lot of movies and has lent his charm to the screen multiple times. Let’s have a look at a few-
- Deadpool 1 & 2
- The Change-Up
- R.I.P.D: Rest in Peace Department
- The Amityville Horror
- Pokémon Detective Pikachu
- The Captive
- Harold and Kumar Go To White Castle
Honestly, the list can go on and on, but audiences in the US are a tad bit unlucky when it comes to having our handsome dude Ryan Reynolds on Netflix.
Ryan Reynolds on Netflix US
Sadly, the people in the US can stream just one of the many movies that star Ryan Reynolds. 6 Underground is currently the only movie that is available on Netflix in the United States of America. This American action thriller stars Ryan Reynolds along with Mélanie Laurent, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Adria Arjona, Corey Hawkins, Ben Hardy, and Dave Franco.
Directed by the very talented Michael Bay, the movie follows a billionaire who has been living in a fictional nation called Turgistan in Central Asia. After spending a couple of years there and seeing the horrors with his own eyes; Magnet (the billionaire) decides to take things into his own hands. After setting up his own fake death, he forms a group of vigilantes; the group then goes on to take down several criminals and terrorists that are not caught by the world for one reason or another.
The movie received a rather mixed reaction from the viewers and the critics. While many praised Ryan Reynolds for his role and even the action sequences of the film, the length, and the direction were questioned a lot. A sequel was announced for the movie by Netflix, but after the reviews, the idea was thrown into a bin.
Regardless of whether the film ever gets a sequel, you should definitely check this movie for one reason and that is Ryan Reynolds. We will anyway get a bit more of Ryan Reynolds on Netflix very soon with the release of Netflix’s star-studded movie Red Notice. We do hope the fans get to see more of him on the streaming platform soon!
