We all love Selling Sunset for the drama it delivers. But till the fifth season, all the drama was limited to the cast members. However, with season 5, Selling Sunset has upped the ante. The newest season has revealed that Emma Hernan apparently almost got involved with a Hollywood star.

Selling Sunset season 5 reveals a supposed Emma and Affleck link

During the episode “Do You Think We’re Friends?” Hernan, 30, claimed to costar Chrishell Stause that she matched with Deep Water star, Ben Affleck on a private, high-profile dating app, Raya.

Emma says that Affleck texted her a few times but she refused to go out with him. She said, “He may or may not have asked to grab coffee a few times.”

Upon hearing this, Stause comments how Hernon could have spoiled “Bennifer.” To which Emma replied jokingly, “maybe that wouldn’t have happened. We have the Boston connection. So, that was his opening pick-up line.”

Emma called Ben’s pickup line “very sweet.” 

While Selling Sunset co-stars readily believed Hernon’s claims, Affleck says otherwise.

Does Ben support the claims?

Upon the episode streaming globally on Netflix, everyone was abuzz with curiosity. Affleck previously has joked about being on a dating app. But a rep for Affleck has come forward to deny all claims of him matching with Emma on a high-profile dating app. Furthermore, the highly-selective dating app Raya also took the Justice League actor’s side. The app has confirmed that the actor has not been an active member for several years.

Since last year, Ben is happily engaged to Jennifer Lopez. For those unfamiliar, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez resumed their romance last year after calling off their engagement 18 years ago due to public pressure.

Lopez stated in early April that the actor had gotten down on one knee for the second time and that the couple had been engaged.

Selling Sunset season 5 is currently streaming on Netflix.
