The video begins with Nivellen, a boar/human hybrid. A creature like Nivellen has certainly not been seen on the screens before. Bringing to life his story with the same level of seriousness and sensibility as the books was difficult, but the VFX team managed to do this task to perfection.
Apart from recreating the animosity of the striga or the dragon, the VFX team also had to ensure that the visual effects do not overshadow or subvert the actors’ performance. The prime example of this would be Kristofer Hivju, popular for his role in Game of Thrones, as Nivellen. The actor pulled a performance that competes with the likes of Andy Serkis as Gollum from The Lord of the Rings.
