Kate Middleton has been facing a lot of heat after explosive revelations by Prince Harry and Meghan Markle in their Netflix docuseries. The couple did not hide anything, as they mentioned how Wales bullied them out of the royal household after being scared by their massive popularity. Moreover, it was just last year during the Oprah Winfrey interview that Markle made the revelation about Middleton making her cry just before the royal wedding. 

The Duchess of Sussex claimed in March 2021 that the Princess of Wales upset her while discussing the flower girl’s dresses. However, she also mentioned how Kate Middleton apologised months after that incident with a bouquet. Amidst all the royal chaos, another story is doing rounds. It is believed that the future Queen Consort was also the reason behind Kim Kardashian’s tears in 2013. Is there any truth to the news?

What is the connection between Kate Middleton and Kim Kardashian?

In 2021, Kim Kardashian made an appearance at Monica Padman and Kristen Bell’s podcast We Are Supported By. During the interaction, the American personality revealed how the media made nasty comparisons between her and Kate Middleton in 2013 when she was pregnant with her first child North. At the same time, Middleton was also expecting her firstborn Prince George. The press was insensitive, as they called her whale while lauding the Princess of Wales.

The reality star admitted not enjoying her pregnancy because of the constant bashing by the media. Notably, Kardashian’s feet and face swelled during her first pregnancy as she was diagnosed with pre-eclampsia. “They would always compare me to Kate Middleton, so it would say, ‘Kate the waif and Kim the whale, the waif versus the whale’,” she was quoted as saying in the podcast.

The 42-year-old further admitted that it was a low blow to her self-esteem, and she ended up crying all the time. Interestingly, Kardashian is not the only one whose first pregnancy was difficult because of the media and Kate Middleton. In the docuseries, Meghan Markle also admitted feeling suicidal while pregnant with Archie because of all the trolling and comparisons with her royal sister-in-law.
