Dave Bautista, as we all know, is among one of the most popular WWE stars. Apart from an incredibly successful career in wrestling, the Bushwick actor has carved a niche out for himself in the acting industry as well. Over the years, Bautista has given numerous hit films and shows, especially in the superhero and action genre. However, we have never witnessed the Guardians of the Galaxy star in a romantic comedy genre.

Owing to the muscular physique Bautista has, a majority of action and superhero film directors want to cast the actor in their films. His being a popular wrestler also played a major part in landing him the roles in these genres. This typecasting made Bautista wonder if he was “too unattractive” for the romantic comedy genre. However, a number of fans came to the actor’s defense.

While Dave Bautista is an action guy on-screen, he is a romantic at heart. Not long ago, the WWE star opened up about what he felt about the romantic comedy genre of films. Bautista revealed to Page Six that he would love to star in a romantic comedy film but often wonders whether he was “too unattractive” for these roles. Soon after the actor’s statement, a fan took to Twitter as he came in to the actor’s defense while even stating Arnold Schwarzenegger as an example. The user wrote, “They are not similar actors but Bautista does deserve that Schwarzenegger run of playing normal guys that simply happen to be enormous.”

Following the post, a number of users flooded the comments. A few fans pointed out the roles the actor would be a great fit for comedy films. Interestingly, some even pointed how Bautista would be a good choice for a a Kindergarten Cop remake. Kindergarten Cop was a popular comedy film featuring Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Meanwhile, a user even suggested that the Knock at the Cabin actor should star in a nice slice of life tale.

Meanwhile, Bautista has a number of exciting projects for the near future. As per reports, the Spectre actor will work on the second installment of the spy comedy movie, My Spy. On the other hand, recently, Bautista also hinted a new upcoming film The Cooler.
