In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in 2017, the actor revealed how his kids did not listen to him. Thankfully, it was not his advice that they weren’t listening to, but only his music. “My kids don’t really listen [to my music] a lot,” Smith said. He further added, “Everybody else in the world wants to hear what I say, except my kids.”

Smith may have been a tad bit hurt by his kids not vibing to his music because no matter how busy he gets with acting, the actor and his fans always hold on to his rap days as the Fresh Prince. Smith is the father of three children, Trey, Jaden, and Willow Smith, and as he spoke about how uninterested they are in his work, one realized that no matter how great of a star he becomes at the end of the day he faces the same problems that most fathers do.
