Back When ‘Stranger Things’ Alum Amybeth McNulty Spilled Beans About the Toughest Part of Filming This Netflix Original
Amybeth McNulty is no stranger to stardom. At such a young age, she established her name among the most talented actresses out there. And last season she added another title to her impressive resume that the world knows by Stranger Things. In the penultimate season of the series, she landed the small but mighty role of Vickie. A student at Hawkins High School and a super crush on the beloved character Robin Buckley.
As of now, it is unclear what turn her character will take in the fifth and final season. In the meantime, fans refresh their memory of the time when the actress opened up about difficult shooting situations of another project.

Back in 2019, Amybeth McNulty returned to her YouTube channel for a Q&A session with fans. This video featured her addressing popular fan theories about her hit show Anne with an E. One question came about how she found the shooting of season 3 difficult. In her response, the Canadian actress revealed summer season did not suit her.
In season 2, they shot during winter, but the third installment brought them to summer. Though the 21-year-old thought it would be easy, her body did not get along well. She struggled badly with mosquito bites that covered her whole body. “I don’t really deal with heat really well and I didn’t actually realize how hot it gets in Canada,” added the Netflix star.
In fact, her body got sunburned showed a picture she shared in the video where her forehead was tanned. But for the Milford native, it was all worth it because her show only received positive reviews during its run. And now she is looking forward to reprising her role in season 5 of the beloved horror drama on Netflix.
Stranger Things’ Vickie could play a larger role in Season 5

Season 4 of Stranger Things ended with Vickie seemingly reciprocating to Robin’s love interest. Though this thing remains unanswered if she likes girls or not, she looked attracted to Robin. Fans saw at the end of the penultimate season how she tries to explain her breakup with her boyfriend, Dan. So if season 5 ships her with Steve’s bestie, it would make McNulty a major player in the storyline.
Considering the show always had a muddling history of dealing with LGBT storylines and this romance will highlight them. Also, they will once again prove that minor roles can be powerful too, just like how Eddie Munson made his mark in season 4.
