In the early 2000s, former American actress Meghan Markle reached the pinnacle of her career. The then-star attained many coveted titles, such as the most Googled actress and so on. All of it was due to her most notable role as Rachel Zane in Suits. However, apart from it, there are yet many more shows and movies by Markle that have some unforgettable memories etched to date. Do you remember the briefcase girl in Deal or No Deal?
The same girl who made it to Buckingham palace? Yes, although it was not the fairytale many wished for, many yearned for life as such. Meghan’s co-model in the American game show, Chrissy Teigen, also harbored somewhat of the same wish. That star who has just appeared in eight episodes of the show later lost it to Meghan. However, this has been a lifelong regret for Teigen, or so as she said.
Chrissy Teigan on marrying Princess Harry playing the role of Meghan Markle
Back in 2018, Teigen appeared on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen. The star was asked about what actually made her part ways with the show. Answering this, Chrissy opened up by sharing how she was pretty much fired, not in the general sense of being fired. However, apparently, she couldn’t be a “Briefcase girl” so they made her a “Banker girl.“
Further humorously stating how Meghan took over the role from the second season, Teigen said had she made it, today she would have been the one to be Harry’s Duchess. The star reportedly uses her shared history with Meghan to tease her husband, John Legend. “I tell John all the time: ‘That could be me. I could be Princess Harry’,” confessed the star.
The game show, Deal or No Deal, that we are discussing first aired in the year 2005. It was an in-real-life contest where participants were required to unbox one briefcase out of 26. The amount that would be kept inside in its entirety went to the one who opened, regardless of the amount.
